Angels of Atlantis Oracle Cards
, Stewart Pearce, illustrated by Richard Crookes, Findhorn Press, 2011, $15.95
This beautifully illustrated deck of 44 cards explores the 12 archangels of Atlantis. According to author Stewart Pearce, Atlantis was a civilization that existed between 250,000 and 15,000 B.C., and during this time the archangels lovingly served the people of Atlantis. There were 12 crystal skulls housed in temples that amplified the intergalactic energies, and it was through these skulls that the angels worked with the people of Atlantis teaching them about love and acceptance, and the Hall of Records (known as the Akasha). Designed to answer questions regarding your health, finances, career, and relationships, the Oracle cards offer answers based on balance, grace, inspiration, compassion, romance, ecstasy, and surrender. Each card represents an aspect of the archangels that can help you understand a situation and bring peace to your life. Or just draw a card each day for meditation purposes.

Wild Feminine: Finding Power, Spirit & Joy in the Female Body
, Tami Lynn Kent, Atria Books/Beyond Words, 2011, $16.99
Wild Feminine is both a physical health book — based on Tami Lynn Kent’s background in physical medicine — and a guide to feminine spirituality that teaches women how to restore a sense of the sacred within the core of her body. You’ll see the female body in a new light: strong, earthy, and a doorway for life and death. Kent shares her moving experience with miscarriage, beautifully recreating the experience from one of pain to the realization that the womb is a doorway for both life and death. Women are uniquely linked to the universe in a powerful way — growing and welcoming new life into the world. Just as the moon cycles through waxing and waning, women also cycle through fullness and emptiness, preparing monthly to support new life. Kent also uses humor to explore the ovaries, and how these nests for life also provide creative energy in their roles as the muse and the cowgirl. Insightful, moving and full of creative ideas, Wild Feminine helps women regain their power off the pedestal.

TWIDDERS: Exploration of the Time-Lost Continuum and Travel, Anita Holmes, Ozark Mountain Publishing, 2011, $15
You may be wondering what or who is a TWIDDER? Author Anita Holmes has an office file labeled TWIDDERS, which is an acronym for what’s inside the file: time travel, time storms, time/warp/displacement and a pinch of slip. An entertaining read, the book is filled with many real life stories, examples of time warps, people disappearing and then reappearing, buildings disintegrating before your eyes, slips in time where people and places from the past could be seen and even interacted with, and other fascinating stories. If we do live in one of many multiple universes and time is just an illusion, then maybe in another reality Elvis never died and perhaps it’s possible to interact with him. We know so little about the relationship to time travel, TWIDDERS opens your eyes to other possibilities of traveling through wormholes, revisiting a moment from our documented history or even visiting another universe.

A Sound Sleep: Guided Meditations with Relaxing Music & Nature Sounds
(CD), Dudley and Dean Evenson, Soundings of the Planet, 2011, $16.99
Dean Evenson teamed with his wife, Dudley, to produce an hour-long CD that is designed to help listeners fall asleep. The CD’s two tracks both have relaxing music and nature sounds. Picture being at the beach and being lulled by the rhythmic waves, or being in a forest with songbirds. Add calming harp and flute music. And then, in the first track, Dudley’s soothing voice guides listeners into deep relaxation, encouraging us to let go of the thoughts and chatter in our minds that interfere with sleep. All this truly will help insomniacs drift off to sleep. The second track just has the music and nature sounds—or so we think. The Evenson’s have cleverly added the guided meditations subliminally. This is so listeners can put the CD on repeat to encourage sleeping all night long.
