Talking Stick
by River Jordan
My best prayers have sometimes been the ones uttered at the end of my rope. Desolate and desperate prayers, usually with my head leaning on my steering wheel. Those prayers have been pretty much my “Lord, look down here” prayers. Or simply my relinquishing of the moment, realizing I really had no control over the situation. And that, no matter what, he would be there.
