Get Ready for a Uranus Revolution

Wake up! Explosive Uranus shakes you with a jolt as it moves into pioneering Aries on March 11. Call upon your courage and begin a new path this spring, because Uranus is a catalyst of change.

The year started off on a sluggish tone where many people felt a lack of motivation. Many felt a feeling of a need for change, but the needed action was illusive and unclear. Well, no more.

Although you may still feel a lack of clarity, incoming energy says it is time to begin shifts. You may not know where you are going, but you know what you don’t want to do anymore. Go deep within and access that fearless part of you, that inner knowing that everything will work out fine as long as you act in integrity.

Uranus has not been in Aries for 84 years (since 1928 to 1934), so it is new energy to almost everyone. Uranus is associated with earthquakes. New Zealand had massive earthquakes and 21,000 buildings in Bulgaria were destroyed when Uranus was last in Aries.

What is the personal earthquake waiting to happen in your life? Everyone must renew their relationship with self. Some people need to leave a relationship and go it alone for a while. Others must learn a new way to do relationships. This is as true of your love life as it is in career. Astrological energies indicate that the economy will not see significant improvement before 2015, so many unemployed people will start their own businesses rather than waiting for jobs to come back.

Aries is an impatient and restless energy desiring something new, and Uranus would rather blow up outdated structures than wait for them to change. The women’s suffrage movement was strong 84 years ago. Now, women in places like Afghanistan are creating a revolution, seeking education and other rights that old-school male institutions have denied. Eight decades ago, Amelia Earhart was breaking barriers in the aviation world, so it will be interesting to see what new barriers women break in the coming seven years.

While the raw energy of Uranus is bursting at the seams to create change, a more subtle influence initially arrives on April 4. Neptune, planet of spirituality and compassion, tests the waters of Pisces until early August. This dreamy energy is ungrounded for now because it is helping you re-vision your life.

If you have been suffering or feeling like a martyr, this soft and feminine undercurrent quietly reminds you that there is a higher purpose to your life than simply paying your bills and becoming lost in busyness. Gift yourself with a trip to a mystical or romantic location to help remind you of your connection to source.

Know that this compassionate and intuitive energy will return again in 2012 to really get to work. For now, know that you are being teased with prophetic visions of things to come. Strengthen your connection to your higher self in the months ahead so that it will be easier to trust your inner knowing.

Choices are ahead for you and logic will provide little assistance to you in making those decisions. Intuition will play a much larger part. Participate in activities such as meditation or releasing unhealthy patterns to help your inner knowing work at heightened levels.

At the same time Neptune in Pisces is taking you beyond the veils of this world, mental Mercury is calling for your attention right here and right now. Beginning on March 30 and lasting until April 23, Mercury appears to move backward in its thrice-annual retrograde cycle.

This communications breakdown cycle is in the sign Aries, making for an abundance of Aries energy going on in the sky. Expanding Jupiter, explosive Uranus, the life-giving Sun and now Mercury are all moving through fiery Aries. You will feel like you are going forward and backward simultaneously.

It is time to review your actions, exercise your body and explore new ways to communicate with the world. Be careful of impatience. Know the next level of change is coming quickly, but don’t make yourself crazy if you cannot immediately see it happening.

Overall, spring is exciting because there is a feeling of new beginnings in the air. Although these shifts are just at the tip-of-the-iceberg stage, know that your life will be revolutionized during the next seven years. Trust your inner knowing to move with those changes, and don’t expect guarantees. You are being watched over for your highest good from currently unseen places. Take comfort in change and be open to the new you that is now being birthed.
