Time Shifting

Many people are feeling the effects of time as we move toward 2012. I had been saying for years that we're down to 18 hours in a day, and yet today if I were to say how it feels verses how time felt as a child, I would say we're down to 10 hours in a day that we get things done, verses the 24 hours to which we are accustomed. And you wonder why you feel tired, anxious, overly stressed, and overwrought with demands and not enoughtime to fill them.

We are speeding up as we reach toward a higher level of consciousness and awareness. Yet we have the ability to savor the day, be more fully in the present and feel the molecules in the air of suspension - if we shift our focus and awareness on how we see and participate in life.

Recently my family spent a week at Shasta Lake in California. Usually those vacations just fly by, but we all felt a shift, a suspension of time, a broadening of space, truly capturing the moments of each day.

The more I move in and out of time from the past to the future, the farther I expand into creating new space from which to see and participate in life. The key to navigation is to truly be aware and conscious of your thoughts and actions, and where you place your focus.

Time is an illusion that we have bought into. We then are the ones to dismantle it and reinvent a brighter approach of cashing in on the value of each moment. Creating for ourselves this sense of peace, happiness and calm in a sea of chaos is the life preserver we are seeking.
