Ghost Hunters at Waldo Hospital

by Roi Halse and Taylore Vance

It was a typical Northwest rainy winter afternoon, cold and wet, when we arrived at the old Waldo Hospital. Some people might be scared by an allegedly haunted hospital, but ghost hunting is our specialty.

The building is said to have a long history of ghost hauntings both inside and out for obvious reason - hospitals are a place of dying as well as healing. When someone dies, their soul may not leave the immediate area - they may hang around a familiar place.

We were allowed to walk through the building presently occupied by the Camp Fire Association, but the upper floor was off limits. Nothing unusual was noted. We then headed outside, checking for ghostly activity. Suddenly the already cold temperature dropped another 10 degrees near a patch of large rhododendrons and fir trees along the front of the grounds.

Disincarnate spirits seem to lower the temperature of their surroundings, causing goose bumps and hairs to stand up. People who are not even psychic can feel them.

We then met the source of this cold - a ghostly woman who went by the initial "L." She appeared to be about 40 years old and had worked at the hospital 83 years ago. She told us that she did not die of natural causes, but her death was being held as a secret. She had been haunting the hospital, but she came outside to talk with us.

When we do ghost hunting, our goal is to encourage ghosts to move on. We don't bust a ghost or force them to leave a place. Once the physical body dies, the spirit needs to go to the next level - beyond the physical plane. There is an ascension process.

Everything is consciousness and energy. Energy vibrates at various frequencies. The healthy physical body vibrates at a measurable frequency. When it gets damaged or sick, its vibration lowers. If not healed, it may die and then release the spiritual presence residing within. It is said we were never born and we never die. The spirit presence is the real us and it's not natural for the soul to hang around in the physical reality after the death of the body.

We asked "L" if she wanted to leave the hospital and at first she said no. We explained to her that if she left with her angels and received an energy healing, she could then come and go between realms if she wanted. She liked that she didn't have to take a one-way trip away from the old hospital, so she said yes to the healing.

We asked if there were any other ghosts in the area who also wanted to leave. Another 10 showed up and wanted to go. The grounds got even colder at that point and we were shaking.

Angels were called and 19 of these loving beings came to help "L" and the other 10 spirits leave the Earth plane.

It must be pretty frustrating to inhabit this physical universe without a physical body. Ghosts touch things with the energy or astral body and many times their hands just pass through physical objects. It takes quite a bit of energy for a ghost to move objects or make sounds.

During the ghost session, a total of 58 ghosts showed up from the hospital and neighborhood. Three of them didn't know they were dead.

We offered this large group a healing so that they could come and go between realms. Forty-one volunteered to participate. Nine ghosts didn't want to go until the old Waldo building was gone.
