Cover Artist - Song of the Ages

Based on her fascination with art, dance, nature, mysticism and psychology, the paintings by Colorado-based artist Willow reflect an intensity, spirituality and love of indigenous cultures.

Flute Player, which Willow created on the cover of New Connexion, tells a story about a small group of people that hold a Council of All Beings. Here various spirits of plants and animals speak through them. As they listen to each other, their love and respect awakens, and they hear the sound of a flute in the wind.

"It is the mythical flute player whose songs have entranced others throughout time," says Willow. "They are songs that tell stories, just like each creature has its story and its voice in the Council of All Beings."

Willow's paintings are as colorful and eclectic as her life journey. The fluidity and multidimensionality apparent in her work transports the viewer into more subtle realms of experience. Geometric patterns, flows of energy, luminescence, archetypal images and ethnic designs are combined to convey the transformational journey we all share.
