Live Earth: Concert for Climate Crisis

Al Gore is sending out an SOS to the world.

On July 7, more than 100 of the world's top musical acts will present Live Earth, a 24-hour concert across all seven continents. The proceeds from the concerts will be used to combat global warming.

Organizers of the concerts and the new campaign Save Our Selves (SOS) hope to reach a world-wide audience of 2 billion people through concert attendance, television, radio and Internet broadcasts.

"In order to solve the climate crisis, we have to reach billions of people. We are launching SOS and Live Earth to begin a process of communication that will mobilize people all over the world to take action," says Gore, who is the leader of The Alliance for Climate Protection. "The climate crisis will only be stopped by an unprecedented and sustained global movement."

Live Earth will be broadcast worldwide on MSN. Viewers can go to www.liveearth.msn.com now for tips on green living and on July 7 to watch the Live Earth concerts.
