The Energy of 2007

Each of the many astrology systems give a piece of information about the energy to be expected in the coming year. According to the Mayan Calendar, most of 2007 will carry the bright, new beginnings, energy of "5th Day of the Galactic Underworld." February will begin another Chinese Astrology year described as Yin Fire Pig. 2007 is a universal nine year in numerology, a completion time. Pig is also considered the last in the 12 animal cycles.

So what should be expected blending this information with the Western astrology aspects?

2007 should be a year demanding a balance of spiritual oneness and practical common sense. Pluto will be hovering the whole year at the doorway to the center of our galaxy. The message is to look beyond the energy of our Sun, our solar system, and understand that we are part of a much bigger picture.

This will manifest on a world and personal level with the need to move beyond the limited group thinking that has been emphasized, especially in American life. Sports, group pride and consensus group religions all foster we/they thinking. It builds teamwork and cooperation within a small group, but only by creating an enemy, someone who is wrong and should be defeated or eliminated.

Uranus and the north node in Pisces, along with Neptune in Aquarius all reinforce this challenge to see the greater picture. They ask that we wake up, learn to trust our intuition and develop a spiritual understanding of all situations. With this new viewpoint we can learn compassion for all.

The mixed ending and new beginning energy of this year can include letting go of limiting, fear-based thinking and learning to create a new way of perceiving our lives and this world. Visualize a universe with enough resources and love for everyone.

January / February 2007 for All Signs

During January and February much of the potential of each year is in a hidden gestating period. Challenges for the year may begin to show as internal rumblings. Take time to be alone, away from influencing energies of your groups and get in touch with your own thoughts, needs and visions.

Aries (March 21 - April 20) Changes and healing may be needed in what you have accepted from traditional religions and educational systems. Alone time may give some unexpected insights to what you need in your life at this time.

Taurus (April 21 - May 20) Changes and healing may be needed in your attitude about shared finances and expectation of what other should give to you. Friends and service groups may provide the wake up call, but you must be willing to listen and change.

Gemini (May 21 - June 21) Changes and healing may be needed in your attitude about partnerships. Focus your energy on your own career path and sense of purpose to attract what you really need in your life.

Cancer (June 22 - July 22) Your day to day life may not be reflective at this time of your true inner feelings. Learn to express yourself through writing and attending expansive classes. Be around and listen to people who can help you to change this incongruence.

Leo (July 23 - August 22) Transformation in your life can come through expressing your personal creativity without trying to change or be changed by the values and opinions of others. Daily life may be stressful these two months, dealing with ego issues, opinions and desires of others around you.

Virgo (August 23 - September 22) Challenges may be coming from issues with your family of origin and ancestry. Your personal and business partners can help with insights to move beyond your old ways of thinking and create a more balanced life.

Libra (September 23 - October 23) Situations may be trying to broaden your ability to listen to others and express your own ideas. This is a good time to write for your own inspiration and perhaps to inspire the children in your life.

Scorpio (October 24 - November 22) This is a time for the shamanic energy of Scorpio to help lead the way in the needed shift from personal material greed to the awareness of spiritual oneness and practical common sense. Are your beliefs a part of the problems or the solutions? Visualize what you would like to do.

Sagittarius (November 23 - December 21) We/they consensus group promotion is strongest in this archetype. Zealous leaders can inspire, repair or destroy, just like a laser beam. What are you expressing toward all the ripples of people around you?

Capricorn (December 22 - January 20) 2007 is a year of preparation for a significant role in the social changes to come. Begin living the prototype of the world you would like to see. Let your actions be the influence that can teach others. Begin planning now.

Aquarius (January 21 - February 18) A balance of spiritual oneness and practical common sense will be your challenge. Aquarian focus on the left brain personal knowing often blurs the ability to hear and understand the viewpoint of others. Try imagining a consciousness in other realities.

Pisces (February 19 - March 20) Many Pisces archetypes are beginning to awaken themselves and others. You play a key role in moving your personal circles into a more expanded consciousness. That means a balance of spiritual and material prosperity through visualization and faith in a universe with enough resources and love for everyone. Focus on walking your own talk and teaching through example.
