What the World Needs Now
The Indigo Mission

"In many ways it feels like being a stranger in a strange land, like being dropped off with this enormous job to do without all the operating instructions or even knowing the language. At other times the deep knowings are so clear and present that if I were to let others see, it might scare them. Others for sure would think me strange."

This world carries so much hurt and anger and hate and jealousy and materialism and war. It is time to bring some healing. Indigos are here to help guide our planet back home. "To share what has been given me to share, I must first attend to this split in me. I feel lost as to how to navigate this life AND at the same time I have a clear deep knowingness of some of the assistance this world needs and how to carry that out in love." Manifesting this mission on this physical plane becomes the challenge for the indigo.

Adult indigos (the word "indigo" comes from the color of the aura that surrounds certain folks who have been given a particular mission and carry the gifts to accomplish it) carry some of the medicine our world is currently in desperate need of if humanity is to avoid self destruction. There is a moaning within the earth and each one of us to return to the divine qualities of love, compassion, mercy, kindness, knowing who we truly are and the intrinsic value in all that is. Humanity, as a whole, has wandered far from its spiritual home. Every indigo has a mission in some way to help us find our way back to our true home.

Most often, indigos are born to parents who are not indigo, so they may not have the human support or guidance for dealing with what it is like to navigate a world that does not feel like a good match for their perspectives or energies. Because kids with these giftings and mission often have awarenesses that far surpass, in some areas, their caregivers’, they can be challenging for the adults around them. These children often do not do well in school, seeing no purpose for repetitive homework tasks of material they already could ace on an exam. As a result, they fail subjects they know more about than most of their peers because they do not complete homework. Our educational system is not set up to measure their knowledge or help them expand the repertoire of skills needed to help them navigate this life and give the world what they are here to share.

Indigos are very energetically sensitive. Their gifts are not weird. They are still very human. In my psychotherapy practice, I refer to them as "EVs" – expanded versions. They are able to use parts of their brain and senses that the rest of us have not learned to utilize yet, but are there for us to learn to use. Part of this functioning is being energetically sensitive. It is like their radar is able to pick up information due to having a broader signal range than the rest of us. They receive some of the higher frequencies. This world, for the most part, also carries much grosser energy that become quite difficult for the physiology of an indigo. As a result they often struggle with allergies, sensitivities, asthma, digestive problems, etc.

When indigos have this deep sense of mission, but are not sure how to function in a world where they have challenges and do not feel a good match, it can be difficult to know how to carry out that mission. In the work I have done with some indigos, there is a sense of responsibility they do not know how to fulfill. Others indigos may feel impatient with this world.

When one indigo comes into contact with another, they seem to be able to recognize each other, as if there is a built in homing device. Many are reported to be able to communicate with other indigos across the planet telepathically through what is referred to as "the web". Child indigos often draw pictures of webs or nets in their artwork. Many indigos feel isolated, not knowing how to plug into this web.

My business partner and I have begun specializing in working with adult indigos. Our purpose is to help them first of all know how to navigate their lives. We also address some of the energy difficulties that result in allergies, etc. (Most, not all, allergies have a psychological base that is not difficult to shift.) By clearing the way for them to be able to access the wisdom they carry, they are then free to express the mission that is theirs to give and do. In the mean time they become our teachers and we experience deep gratitude.
