Since June 2003, slow and disciplined Saturn traversed the watery swamps of your subconscious in the emotional sign of Cancer. You have processed old emotional hurts and obligations, learning that you must take responsibility for nurturing yourself. At times, you probably felt the process was never going to end.
On July 16th, patient Saturn moves into heart-opening Leo to stimulate your creative juices. It is time to stop talking about your insightful ideas and put them into pragmatic manifestation.
Saturn is the workhorse planet of the zodiac. Leo represents fun, romance, and creativity. By combining discipline and fun, you can manifest that creative new project during the next two years. Single people will make an effort to explore romantic possibilities. Married people will enhance the romance in their relationship or look in new directions.
Because Leo rules the heart, and Saturn rules restrictions, the world is likely to experience some tragic events that open the hearts of people (the recent Sumatra tsunami comes to mind). Medical science will introduce new drugs and techniques for healthy heart maintenance, just as many people will experience the need for those new techniques. Gold will be an important topic in financial markets.
President Bush, former President Clinton, and countries like Israel, Pakistan, India, North & South Korea have strong Leo placements in their birth charts. Domestically, Chicago and Miami are likely to go through the restructuring of Saturn in Leo. All of these people and places shall serve as a bellwether of changes that are in store for humanity.
On a personal level, make certain that you are having fun and simultaneously keeping your heart open. Avoid dragging fearful old behavior patterns into this major energetic shift, being willing to youre your heart and take a risk on manifesting your passions.
However, you must also avoid Utopian thinking. Saturn is dealing with the reality of the current common consciousness of the world. Certainly, this consciousness is being restructured between July and September 2007, but Saturn believes that "slow but sure" is the best method for change.
You can get a hint about the restructuring that will take place for you by looking back to the last times Saturn was in Leo, Sept. 1975-Nov. 1977 and Aug. 1946-May 1949. Also read your Sun and Rising Sign below:
Aries: You drew the "fun" card this cycle, oh fiery one. Whether you choose to help children, the child within, hobbies turning into businesses, or just some old fashioned romance, mix work and play during the next two years.
Taurus: Tend to your home and garden. Saturn in Leo opens your emotions to produce a beautiful environment based upon a higher set of values. Install a solar panel on your hot tub!
Gemini: Youve heard it before, but this isnt just talk. Write that book, learn something new, and go off to a fun and practical educational conference. Creativity takes physical form.
Cancer: Make money! Now that I have your attention: it is time to stop saying why your ideas will not work. Practice self-confidence and get your ideas out in the world in a tangible way.
Leo: Step into greater levels of leadership. Your self-identity is taking on a serious, authoritative, and yet, playful tone.
Virgo: Oh wise one, share with humanity the secret truths of the Universe. Discipline your intuitive abilities to bring Truth out of the ethers.
Libra: Selfish friends have got to go in order to make room for associates who walk a higher path. Join an organization that philosophically resonates with your goals.
Scorpio: Claim power in the world by transforming your public image. Bring discipline to those who think they are smarter than Source.
Sagittarius: Go to school in a distant location, join the Peace Corps, or change the rules of society to better reflect a belief in the goodness of humanity.
Capricorn: Sorry, Capricorn, you still have to take responsibility for others. In fact, you may need to crack the whip on people who are out of integrity. The up side is that your ability to manifest in the material world is increasing.
Aquarius: Write (or live) a book about new paradigms in relationships. It is time to blend innovative individualism with sharing in partnership.
Pisces: Roll up your sleeves and heal humanity. Instead of drifting quietly into the background, assert your compassionate ideals for the betterment of the group. Get organized!
