Luminosity: Bringing Clarity, Focus, Ease and Grace to Every Day

– a workshop with Maria Nemeth, PhD, MCCF:

Maria Nemeth, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist with more than twenty-eight years' experience, a former clinical professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of California-Davis School of Medicine, and a former columnist for the Sacramento Business Journal. Her popular Sounds True six-tape series, The Energy of Money, and her Mastering Life's Energies seminars have helped thousands of people to create ongoing affluence and financial ease.

This event will give you pragmatic tools to bring luminosity to your life and bring clarity, focus, ease and grace to everyday situations and circumstances.

The Way of SeeingŪ

Ken Lloyd Russell, mystic and the creator of The Way of SeeingŪ, will be available this summer on the radio to answer questions about The Way of Seeing and the spiritual path in general.

The Way of SeeingŪ is a highly practical approach to spiritual transformation that allows you to integrate simple, yet powerful, practices into your ongoing life. These practices create the context for profound changes to happen. At minimum, there will be an enhanced enjoyment of the process of living. The Way of Seeing is not affiliated with any religion and requires no belief system, only openness to exploring how one lives.

The website at www.thewayofseeing.com contains many useful articles and information for spiritual seekers. You will find articles on the website about certain practices or experiments that anyone on any path can explore using in their life. Information about the dates and times of the radio show will be posted, and there is information about free meditation classes in the Seattle area. There is absolutely nothing for sale and there are opportunities for giving feedback and having questions answered.

You can read Ken’s article, The Message of Lau Tzu, from the May/June issue archived at newconnexion.net/article/05-05/lau_tzu.html.

Emergence: A Free Festival of New Plays

Radiant Theatre’s 3rd Annual Celebration of Women, EMERGENCE - Strong women. Strong plays, offers new play readings from playwrights nationwide. The name of this festival, "Emergence," also reflects its aim: to help new playwrights emerge into the field of theatre arts. Women’s plays have been shelved for far too long, with directors often choosing more well-known scripts by men in their place. We want to change this ill-recognized and often unconscious pattern. So "Emergence: A Theatrical Celebration of Women," will feature plays which have never had a public performance before – plays about women, directed by women and written primarily by women.

The premiere of this festival in 2002 featured women playwrights from the Portland, Oregon area at Performance Works NW. Last year women playwrights from the West Coast were featured at the CoHo Theater in NW Portland. This year plays will be from as far as New York City.

Compassion & Choices

Advance directives for health care are still the topic of the day, and since March of this year, Compassion & Choices has filled more than 26,000 requests for their state-specific advance directives documents and instructions. To download your free advance directive at compassionindying.org/ad or call them to request a hard copy.

Many Americans are taking the time to make their end-of-life wishes known in their advance directives. Barbara Coombs Lee, co-CEO and President of Compassion & Choices said "For people who do not want to be kept alive in a greatly diminished state, there is a new sense of urgency. People are afraid if they don’t document their wishes in the most unambiguous way, some politician will try and thwart them."

The summer issue of Compassion and Choices Magazine will focus entirely on advance directives, including a glossary, myths and facts, explanation of documents, and information on how to select a health care agent.  This complete advance directive tool kit gives you everything you need to make sure you have advance directives that are thorough, current and enforceable.

If you need help fill out your advance directive contact Compassion & Choices at 1-800-247-7421 or email them at info@compassionandchoices.org .
