Spring Eclipses & Mercury Retrograde
Pioneering a New Path!

Does it feel like it is time for a change? You may think that the desire to shake up your life comes naturally at the vernal equinox. However, this year’s spring fever comes from a far deeper source.

Two eclipses will have you searching the fertile swamps of your subconscious for a renewed vision. Eclipse energy becomes effective about three months before the actual eclipse, so now is the time to sprout the seed that will produce flowers after the eclipse. The Scorpio-Taurus lunar eclipse on May 4th is exactly opposite last November’s Harmonic Concordance eclipse. Seed thoughts to empower you to manifest your highest values were implanted at that time.

By the May 4th full moon, it is important to initiate action to bring those seed ideas into the vibrant light of day. Failure to do so often brings the cosmic kick in the derrière to get you moving during eclipse cycles. Positive steps now produce rewards.

Although the intent of this article is to encourage you to take the next step along your spiritual life path, be aware that communications planet Mercury is in its debilitated retrograde phase between April 6 and 30. When logical Mercury gives the illusion of moving backwards in the sky, your best made plans can go awry. Focus on behind-the-scenes preparation during April and keep your plans flexible.

Release the need to control your vision excessively, allowing Spirit to align you with the flow of the Universe. Willingness to proceed in a non-rigid fashion makes room for miracles to bloom. These miracles may come forth in an unexpected way when you consider the influence of the April 19th solar eclipse. In the sign Aries, an eclipsed sun urges you to release feelings of loneliness in order that you can pioneer a new path into a state of Being called aloneness.

When you are alone (this has nothing to do with relationships), you are standing independently in full connection with your Divine Essence. Your innate, soul talents have easier access to burst forth into your daily life.

Aries motivates you to have the courage to allow the truth of your core essence to express itself in your world. Look at your Sun and Rising signs below to get hints about where you must have courage to pioneer a new path.

Aries: Enhance self-confidence. Exercise, buy bright clothes, and let the world know who you are.

Taurus: The psychic in you is being called out. Express the intangible, creative areas of your life rather than requiring external proof and rewards.

Gemini: Goals, friends, and ambitions are changing. Allow the past to fall into the past. Release the need for approval from others.

Cancer: Be seen in public. Use your intuitive sense to know where the world is going, preparing to serve people when they arrive.

Leo: Road trip! It’s time to open to the big picture of the world. Some Leo’s may take a more philosophical, local path to mentor others.

Virgo: The spiritual lesson requiring courage is to let others help you. You don’t have to do it all yourself! Share your deepest emotions.

Libra: The "c" word is up for you –commitment! Don’t pre-judge the experience, just jump in. Relationships are really up for you.

Scorpio: Open your healing abilities to the world, including self-healing. Share yourself through humble service to people or animals.

Sagittarius: Romance, children, and creativity are calling to you now. Play more and take a risk on projecting your philosophical vision into the world.

Capricorn: This non risk-taking sign must risk the vulnerability of emotions. Although some may build a new deck for their home, the real work is in showing your soft side.

Aquarius: Teach a class, write articles, and share new ides for the greater good of humanity. Have the courage to listen with and open and flexible mind.

Pisces: Open your prosperity consciousness to the unknown rather than making up reasons why you are not experiencing all the abundance that the Universe has to offer.

Everyone needs to explore something new this spring. Face your fears head on. Pioneer new ways to manifest your highest values in your daily life. Acting on your beliefs will bring new people into your life by summer, and you will come back into balance when Jupiter enters Libra in September.
