The Body Knows Ask Medical Intuitive Caroline Sutherland
Dear Caroline,
Four months ago, I had a cancerous tumor removed from my left lung. I often
suffered from asthma as a child and I wondered if there could be a correlation.
Currently, although I am healing from the surgery, and the prognosis is good, I
feel weak and listless. I am interested in your intuitive impressions regarding
my situation.
Graham B. Corvalis, OR
Dear Graham,
Bless your heart my thoughts are with you move forward on
the road to recovery.
Keep a positive focus on your bodys capacity to recover.
Speak to your body and encourage it to repair on all levels. The pivotal
question in terms of any illness is to engage the will to live. Ask yourself the
question "What is my will to live." On a scale of 1 10, the will
to live should be high 7 or above. If you intuitively sense that it is less
than 5, do your best to engage it. Bless everything in your life even your
illness and fill your body with gratitude and love. As soon as this takes place,
the energy for healing will flood back into your body.
The left side of the body is considered to be the feminine or
receptive side. The lungs, in Chinese medicine represent grief.
Interesting that you suffered from asthma as a child. Asthma on
an emotional level can stem from an overbearing or smothering mother or grief
from a loss or disappointment in relationship or career.
On the physical level, your aim is to strengthen the body and
rebuild your immune system. Food allergies can play an important role here. Any
food, to which the body is intolerant, can initiate a histamine response and
weaken the immune system. Few people are aware of the negative effects of common
foods.
I suggest that you eliminate wheat-based products from your
diet. Wheat is a very common allergen and can make a person tired, not to
mention contributing to arthritic symptoms, due to carbohydrate content and
gluten use 100% rye bread or rice instead. Milk-based products are
mucous-forming and can affect the respiratory tract as well. While you are
recovering, I suggest eliminating dairy products and substituting small amounts
of rice milk, almond milk or soymilk into the diet.
Now look at your home environment are you exposed to molds,
pet dander or airborne allergens? All of these impact the lungs.
When a person has had a serious illness, iron and B vitamin
levels can be low. I suggest B vitamins and an absorbable liquid iron
supplement. Red meat is one of the best forms of absorbable iron and B vitamins.
If you are not currently eating red meat, you might consider adding it to the
diet twice a week. Beef broth or beef soup can also be helpful.
Did you know that cancer cells are glucose supported? Any
fast-growing cell needs sugar to live. Along with all of the above strategies,
keep your sugar intake as low as possible.
Finally I suggest a visit to your local health care practitioner
who can assist you in building your immune system and bodys defenses. Take
time to explore the core emotional issues and release them. Then the body is
well on its way to experiencing a whole new level of wellness.
