Integrated Ascension

by Patti Roberts

Last year I came to the realization that even though I had done a lot of spiritual work and many meditations I still had a lot of fears. I felt a lack of self worth, I didn’t own my personal power, I was out of touch with my body, I was judging others, comparing myself with others, putting people on pedestals, not living my own truth. I was forced into a reevaluation of where I was, and where I was heading. When I was five months pregnant I found out the baby had a rare condition and would not survive outside the womb. After nine and a half months we had a home birth in a tub of water in our bedroom. The birth was beautiful and filled with intense love and bliss. I believe Michael, our stillborn son, could have terminated the pregnancy in the first couple of months but wanted to give me the opportunity to take a good look at my life.

The full term pregnancy, the birth and the death, were gifts for me, opportunities to embrace love and truth. I started to look at every aspect of my life afresh. I realized that spiritual growth in itself doesn’t necessarily create psychological, mental, or emotional growth. Spiritual growth, especially rapid growth, can even create imbalances in psychological, mental, emotional and even physical levels. I understood that to fully embrace my total potential I needed to acknowledge each level within myself. I discovered that I had not done my psychological homework. I had work to do, and that work had to create fundamental changes in my behavior.

A family member introduced me to the Melchizedek Synthesis Light Academy (MSLA) founded by Dr Joshua David Stone. I began using some basic tools and techniques they recommend for "integrated ascension". I had considered myself to be a "wise one" in spiritual matters and was surprised to find out I was quite ignorant about many aspects. I read some books from Dr Stone’s Easy to Read Encyclopedia of the Spiritual Path. I immediately liked his emphasis on synthesis and integration of all religions, spiritual paths, mystery schools, spiritual teachings and forms of psychology.

I had no idea about the seven levels of initiation for planetary ascension, which are taken by the soul itself (rather than the individual personality). The ascended masters on the inner planes keep careful spiritual records of our "quotients". The major quotients are:

  1. light,
  2. love,
  3. psychological wisdom,
  4. Christ consciousness,
  5. transcendence of negative ego,
  6. service and spiritual leadership and
  7. integration and balance.

Until reading Dr Stone’s books, I had never heard about the "rays". I learned that every soul incarnating onto the earth plane is made up of six rays. Everyone has a separate monadic, soul, personality, mental, emotional, and physical body ray structure. The understanding of the rays may be the single most important spiritual science for understanding oneself and the world as a whole. It is these rays that govern all of creation. A "ray" reading provided me with a hugely expanded view of who I am, and why I have certain tendencies, as well as practical knowledge to integrate and improve my daily life and how to fulfill my own mission, dharma or puzzle piece.

Dr Stone and other teachers within the MSLA helped me to understand that in this phase of earth’s history, characterized by enormous accelerated spiritual growth, the spiritual aspects of life are not being properly balanced and integrated with the physical aspects. The passing of initiations really has more to do with the amount of light one is holding and has very little to do with one’s overall psycho/spiritual development. Although lightbuilding, ascension and esoteric work are often seen as glamorous and interesting, the foundation of the path is in fact psychological work. What has happened among lightworkers is that we have become "top-heavy". Our spiritual bodies are generally far more advanced than our mental, emotional and physical bodies.

.According to Dr Stone, "There is a phase where it is important to work on oneself. This is a crucial phase. However at some point it is necessary to be of service. You are here to fulfill your spiritual puzzle piece on earth, not in heaven. It is time for light workers to get out of the clouds and come back to earth and bring their unique abilities and talents to change this world. We are here to create a God civilization on earth as it is in heaven. I am not saying it is an easy job. For some it will be through politics, others through spiritual education, the arts, sciences, religion, business, economics and changing the institutions of the world. It is as important to learn to master all aspects of earthly life as it is to master all aspects of one’s spiritual life."

I would like to end with a quote from the ascended masters from the last chapter of the book entitled Golden Keys to Ascension and Healing by Dr Stone:

"We, like you, have a specific part to play, of that you can be sure. But like an orchestra of many Krishnas/Christs/Buddhas/priests/priestesses, we each sound forth our note, playing our unique tunes upon the divine flute--creating one glorious cosmic symphony!"
