The New Year brings significant changes on both global and personal levels of experience. Metaphysically oriented people everywhere will feel inspired by the shift in consciousness that is in store for humanity. 2003 signals the beginning of a seven-year cycle for the masses to awaken to a higher spiritual truth.
As is often the case, the proverbial "rattling of the cage" precedes major shifts in consciousness. Baird Spalding explains this in Volume Three, page 56, of "Life & Teaching of the Masters of the Far East". "There is no other course than to go on from one plane of consciousness to a higher and more advanced step in the actual cosmic path. The only condition forbidden in the vibration of the great cosmos is that quality of thought which allows the human race to become so solidly fixed in what it believes that, if it clings desperately to its old delusions and will not let go, it can in no way come into the greater expanse of universal thought."
The book goes on to say that when the vibration gets too far out of balance with the cosmos, that discordant vibration is allowed to reflect back upon itself. The reflection of old delusions manifests in challenging outer world events that requires a person, and all of society, to come into harmony with the Universal vibration of Truth.
The planet that represents shaking up fixed beliefs is revolutionary Uranus. In March, eccentric Uranus will enter intuitive Pisces, the zodiac sign that represents dissolving illusions. More information on this dramatic shift will be provided in the next issue of New Connexion. For now, know that what you thought to be true will begin to dissolve, allowing you to open to greater understanding of the Universe.
Although all zodiac signs will break free to higher truth, the signs Pisces, Virgo, Sagittarius, Gemini, and Cancer will be most highly activated in the year ahead.
On a personal level, you must become the visionary; and, you must act on that vision. Trusting your intuitive knowing takes on increased importance. It follows that anyone with "trust" issues is going to face those issues.
Topics likely to be in the news include religion, intuitive development, ocean-centered earthquakes/tsunamis, fishing & international sea borders, drinkable water, floods, and spirituality.
There are other major shifts in the months ahead. The destiny-oriented nodes of the moon have been in Gemini-Sagittarius for the past 1½-years. The world has opened itself to new ideas on religion, culture, air travel, and the need for a new way of thinking.
In April, these soul-activating points move into Taurus and Scorpio. Secrets and old wounds will rise to the surface for healing. Issues relating to land, borders, and food will come to light. The latter could range from starvation to genetic engineering in food. On a personal level, you will open to a higher level of prosperity consciousness between now and Dec. 2004. However, 2003 requires you to first release old fears surrounding your ideas on money and prosperity.
Although your favorite astrological columnist enjoys looking at the lofty ideals for the year ahead, pragmatic grounding in the earth plane is the way to begin 2003. This brings up everybodys favorite topic, Mercury Retrograde!
From January 2-22, the communications planet appears to be traveling backwards in the restructuring sign of Capricorn. During January and mid-February, you must look at the practical aspects of your everyday life. Where are you expending too much energy in relation to the energy that comes back to you? Do you need more living and/or work space, or do you need to release some possessions in order to create more space? Capricorn rules time. How can you make more time in your life? In short, the lofty goals mentioned above must have a sold, down-to-earth foundation within which to work.
The earth signs of Capricorn, Taurus, and Virgo must get back to the basics during the Mercury retrograde cycle. Water signs (Cancer, Pisces, and Scorpio) need to create a safe environment for their emotional expression. The sensitive, feminine aspect of life is going to increase for everyone this year, but especially for water signs. The air-element signs of Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius are likely to experience paradox this year. While there are ample opportunities to bring ideas into worldly manifestation, they will need to improve their emotional connection to do so. Fire signs (Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius) will need to tame their enthusiasm while giving themselves specific goals and firm deadlines to achieve their ambitions.
It is difficult to provide a neat summary of the energies of 2003. When "expect-the-unexpected" Uranus is in a major transition, so too is the whole of society. The primary advice to begin the New Year is to remember and reconnect with the Source of your being. When you are operating your life from Oneness, then you are better able to take advantage of the shifting energies ahead. Blessings, joy, and prosperity to you throughout 2003!
