Palmistry
by Judy Gardner Answers Your Questions
I got hooked on palmistry after a friend gave me a palm reading as
a Christmas present. The reading validated many things I knew about
myself, and it also gave me a lot of valuable information that I felt
could make a real difference in my life. I realized that we are all
wired to be a certain way in this lifetime and the things that seem
difficult are there for a reason and the things that seem easy were
meant to be that way too.
I became so enthralled with hands and the amount of information in
them that I signed up for a year long course, and then did another year
of graduate work. This has been a wonderful adventure for over ten years
now, and I would like to share this amazing science with you by teaching
you something about palmistry and answering some of your palm questions
and concerns. I am inviting readers of New Connexion to send me a print
of both of your hands along with one question that I will then address
in my column.
There are two psychologies in the hand - the soul psychology and the
personality psychology. The soul has a plan of what it wants to learn
and what it wants to accomplish in this life, which is recorded on our
fingertips. The personality psychology is how we are set up to do the
job and it is recorded in the shape, lines, fingers, set, and mounds
of the hand. Our gifts and talents, as well as our challenges are all
recorded in the palm of our hand. The reason we get along with some
people and do not get along with others is there. The reasons that our
relationships with others work or do not are there; our energy level,
feelings and how we process things is there.
I do not predict futures and everything in the hand is there to help
and guide us on our path. Our brain directs the activity of the lines
in our hands and as we change our lines change. Palmistry is a science
that is very accurate and it works!
The first aspect of the hand that we will talk about is our thumb.
The thumb is such a big deal that some palmists study only the thumb.
The thumb is about how you use your will and discernment. The thumb
tells me how you shape and control your environment. It tells me how
assertive you are - whether you can get things under your thumb. It
tells me how strong your will is, how clear your discernment is, whether
you can speak up for yourself, whether things come easy to you or not,
it tells me whether you work well with others or whether you want to
run the show.
When looking at the thumb you want to look at how long or short it
is in proportion to the rest of the hand. Long means you spend a lot
of time there, short means you spend less time there. Next you want
to notice whether it is thick, medium or thin. Thick means that there
is a lot of energy there and thin means there is little energy there.
So a long thick thumb means there is a lot of energy there to use your
will. A short thin thumb means there is much less ability to be assertive;
however, you must look at the angle of opposition to determine whether
it is used or not. That means how far away from your palm does your
thumb position itself. If it is a large distance it means you like to
control your environment. If it is a medium position it means you work
well with others. If it is up against the palm it means that you want
others to be in charge and you do not want responsibility for taking
action.
We will cover more material on the thumb in the next issue. If you
will make prints of your hands and send them to me with questions you
may have about your thumbs I will discuss them in the next issue.
