The Reconnection

Throughout time Masters and mystics have come into our midst to teach those of us drawn to listen. Currently there is an influx of teachers and of people with gifts of healing, come to bring more light and information to us.

Dr. Eric Pearl is one of them. In his book, The Reconnection, Heal Others, Heal Yourself, Eric tells the story of what led to his becoming a chiropractor. He recounts meeting a Jewish gypsy fortune teller on Venice Beach. She offered to reconnect him to the planet and other stars and planets for $333. Against his better judgement, and feeling like a sucker, he paid her.

After that, his life changed dramatically. His patients began to have spontaneous healings, report other beings in the room, channel words. All of them said the same sentences. In his home doors began opening and lights coming on by themselves. He scrambled to try to understand what had happened for him. The healings kept happening, though not dependably. He continued to learn. People began to come from all over to see Dr. Pearl. In time he gave up his very lucrative practice to do the Reconnections and to teach this work to others.

I had an instant attraction to this book. From the moment I picked it up it wouldn't leave my hand. I bought it and read it halfway through before calling to sign up for all the levels of Dr. Pearl's classes. He writes about this energy in the same words I use when I teach Reiki. I realized the classes weren't soon enough for me and sought out someone to do sessions for me and the actual Reconnection so I could immerse myself in the energies. With that my life moved from fast-forward into hyper speed. To say my life changed would be an understatement!

In each of the Reconnective healing sessions I have received there have been not so subtle adjustments made in my body. One session my brain was moved back and forth, in another my heart was gently squeezed and pulsed. My hands were worked with from the inside, knuckles massaged and moved about. Another time my intestines felt as if they were picked up and moved. Often I have had experiences of colors shifting; sometimes I've felt other presences nearby. My body sometimes moves of its own accord in response to the energies. These are my experiences of Reconnective Healing sessions.

There is, I think, a little confusion between the actual Reconnection and a Reconnective Healing session. The Reconnection is the experience of a connection of the meridian lines of our body with the grid lines of the Earth, this solar system and the entire Universe. This activation allows for the exchange of light and information. Within this exchange is the reactivation of DNA strands latent within us all and the re-integration of parallel planes of existence (quantum string theory). The lines of time which we see as straight are actually threads of a web extending infinitely.

The Reconnection is done by someone who has attended all three levels of Dr. Pearl's trainings and been reconnected themselves. It involves two sessions of 45 minutes or more two days in a row. The cost is $333.

A Reconnective Healing session allows one who has received the Reconnection and certification to bring this connection temporarily into the energy field of another, often with powerful results. Costs vary with the person offering the session. In Portland at this time, sessions are available for $66 - $75. The usual time of a session varies between 30 minutes and 1 hour.

My experience of the actual Reconnection was a powerful one. During the first session my body jerked and twitched through much of the session. At one point clouds of color passed through me. Later I was aware of white robed misty figures standing below and to the right of my feet while another figure/being was near my right shoulder. It was a huge and gentle vibration and my cheek was touched softly. I was totally energized afterward. Later in the evening I began vibrating all over, then, becoming quite tired, went to bed.

The second day's session there was much less twitching, though at one point the underside of my left upper arm rippled continuously for a time. I experienced some odd temperature shifts...cold feet, cold lines down the inside front of both legs and hot spots in my head and heart. Then I was pressed down by bars, dark bars, both horizontal and vertical and quite close together. Being a bit claustrophobic I became briefly anxious. All anxiety lifted joyously as the bars became colored ribbons of light, swept off as if by a brisk wind, all flowing together into a bright, bright light. That night I dreamed of twisting ladders reaching toward the sky. Since then I have felt filled with gratitude and my intuition, inner knowing is clear and present at all times.
