Have You Got Smart Fat???
by Richard Aanrich
Education consists mainly in what we have unlearned.
Mark Twain
But what is education? If education comes by the accumulating of
new knowledge and learning to act in a certain way, then it stands
to reason that in this culture with our 60+% obesity figures, we
are doing brilliantly well
and were not really overweight,
we just have overly smart bodies. Doesnt that make you excited
about jumping onto the scales to see how smart youve gotten?
As a culture and as individuals, we have learned to take care of
our time by using all those fast food outlets, convenience stores
and snack machines. Weve learned that we dont need to
be too concerned about nutrition; well take care of that later.
Weve learned how to watch TV and let one commercial after
another subtly pour through our brains influencing us on how to
think, what to wear, what to take, what to do and what to eat. And
being
intelligent people weve even learned how to trick ourselves
into believing that commercials dont really affect (program)
us; that its the other 90% that gets brainwashed not us
and
the smart scales and clothes sizes prove it. Or maybe its
a wake up call!
We are born with incredible immune systems that keep working to
protect us daily from all manner of problems and diseases as long
as we give it the right building materials to keep operating well.
Study after study and decades of research continue to show that
when the body is fed good food in the form of fruits, vegetables,
grains, (some) proteins and lots of water that people stay healthier,
live better and live longer. That includes being highly protected
from everything from cancer, heart disease, diabetes, to vision
problems and a host of other overweight conditions that plague us
in this oblivious culture. But, to enjoy these benefits we have
to have a different kind of smart that isnt in our fat cells
or our taste buds. Its getting smart and stepping back to
consciously shout Stop the Insanity, Im not willing
to act crazy and pretend it isnt hurting me anymore!
Then deciding to make some new decisions, because its just
too insane not to make them.
To Fall Into Habit Is To Cease To Be!
Miguel de Unamundo
As a culture we live our lives on stress overload and try to find
energy in caffeine, sodas, snacks, fats, fast foods and chocolate.
We have turned these into a primary food and not as a secondary
sometimes food, and it shows. If things keep progressing at the
current rate we will have become the most educatedly fat people
on the planet and maybe we already have. We have fallen into these
habits and we are truly ceasing to be
smart, wise, healthy
and thriving.
Only by Unlearning comes Wisdom
James Russell Lowell
It is possible for us to live with right priorities and recaptured
wisdom. A good place to start is by paying attention to the basics.
To have healthier and slimmer bodies and minds we need 5 to 9 servings
of fruits and vegetables a day, and half our body weight (in ounces)
of water per day, and to stay active with running, biking, exercise,
dance, etc.
A good question to ask for Educated Weight Loss is Whats
not working here? It requires committing to and being
responsible for your own well-being. If you need some help then
just use common sense and make yourself important enough to invest
in your healthier future. There are also scores of nutritional coaches
and health clubs eagerly awaiting your attendance.
So whats stopping you from living your dream of being
healthier, slimmer, happier with who you are and having a greater
long-term quality of life? Do you need more focus or coaching
to get on track? Getting on track and staying on track is an inside
job. Old beliefs and habituated patterns are what stops people.
I have found making A Positive Change is more effective
by taking advantage of counseling and behavioral changes programs,
combined with such proven processes as Hypnotherapy and Neuro Linguistic
Programming (NLP). These processes help to connect you with the
inner resources needed to refocus and stay on track towards changing
your habits and lifestyles to finally reach your goals. Okay
a
pop quiz
do you want to have smart fat or have you decided
to be smarter than that? Then do it, make that commitment and get
focused now!
