Letter From Kosovo - "Dianetics Has Given Me a New Life"
Good evening, my dear brothers and sisters.
I called you brothers and sisters because all the people who love
Dianetics and apply Dianetics are my brothers and sisters. I decided
to write the letter tonight, as it is the 28th of May 1999, and two
months ago, on 28 March 1999, I had one of the most difficult days of
my life. I was forced by our enemies to leave my country.
The army interrupted our normal life, forced us to go away from
our home, friends, schools, work, family, sisters and brothers, from
our city and our beloved country Kosovo.
I heard for the first time in my life of Dianetics while I was
in the Magic City Camp of refugees in Tirana. When we came here, we
were very much traumatized, shocked and tired to the last cell of our
body. The state we were in was one of no hope, and all of our future
hopes destroyed.
We had no idea how we would end up on our journey. Since I started
Dianetics I am calmer and happier and full of life again, which is something
I had lost. Dianetics has given me a new life.
We Albanians of Kosovo say that the Founder of Dianetics'
life never ended, as he still lives in our thoughts and our lives in
the teachings that he left us. This great man was a person who wanted
us to become like him and we will become like him.
Glory to his work, which never dies and still goes on and on...
Signed, Shefket Krisnigni of the first Dianetics Foundation of Kosovo,
trail number 50.
The real enemy in any war is aberration and that is what should
be attacked. A Volunteer Minister from the Church of Scientology recently
went into refugee camps where hundreds of thousands of ethnic Albanians
had fled to safety. There he received permission to assist the refugees.
With the release of L. Ron Hubbard's book Dianetics: The Modern
Science of Mental Health in 33 new languages, those refugees were able
to read Dianetics and use it to handle the effects of war. Dianeticsthe
groundbreaking "owner's manual for the human mind" was
originally published in May, 1950.
